Drum, Dance & Chant!

Drum!

The Original Sound. African, Latin, Middle Eastern and Native American. The Beat of the Drum is the representation of your heart beat and your mother’s heartbeat connecting us to the vibration of Mother Earth. The Drum speaks deeply to our souls and bodies vibrating at a cellular level.
Group Drumming brings any group into harmony as it magically dissolves all boundaries. All are equal in a Drum circle which makes it a perfect team building activity. Play the drum!

Dance!

Amy’ s beloved Drum teacher Babatundi Olatunji told her that a drummer who could not dance should give it up. She took him seriously. He went on to say that drummers need to be able to dance properly to every rhythm they play. Amy wants to share all the dances of the rhythms she loves with you! Learn elements of Jazz, Isolations and African styles. Spice it up with the dances of Latin America including, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Reggaeton. She provides group classes and works one on one with students. Her specialty is finding what a students challenges are and bringing them to reach their highest potential. Her work as a drummer makes her a great choice as teacher for students with rhythm challenges.

Chant!

The Powerful Healing of Sound, in a Ceremonial Circle.
Join in group energy to raise consciousness and let your Spirit ascend through the beauty of your voice. When we think something we plant the seeds, we speak it and begin the creative process, we sing and make it manifest. The power of sound is potent. Thought and sound are pure energy. Instinctually we all know this. Chanting polishes the many facets of the gems that we are. Let the sound of your voice make your spirit shine!
